BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Foodies can soon get a taste of sweet and savory crepes at Halsey Street’s newest bar.

French-inspired Stuybar opened at the start of September at 562 Halsey St., occupying the spot of former seafood restaurant Celestino, as first reported by Brownstoner.

The bar is ready for business and the kitchen is expected to open before the end of the month, according to owner Stephane Filippi.

The décor gives a subtle nod to France with large vintage posters and a street sign above the eatery’s entrance. Customers can also sip cocktails in the outdoor seating area.

Filippi launched the new venture with the help of Nadir Khelifi, owner of Café Lafayette in Fort Greene, he said.

In coming months, the bar plans on serving dinner and brunch, with menu offerings including crepes, cheese plates, charcuterie and oysters.

Stuybar is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, visit the bar’s Facebook page here.
