CHELSEA — A group of about 13 young men and women menaced commuters on a crowded 1 train at 34th Street on Monday afternoon, shouting "We are gang bangers" and "We are from the Seven," police said.

The rowdy crew was blocking the car's exits while also shouting at people to get out of the subway car roughly 4 p.m., police said.

A 19-year-old woman tried to push through the pack and get off the train at 18th Street, but a man with a shaved head grabbed her buttock so hard that she couldn't move, she later told police.

The woman elbowed the perpetrator and managed to wriggle free, police said.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday, police said.
