By Serena Dai | September 9, 2015 9:52am

SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — A woman was robbed by a man who held a knife to her, police said.

The victim, 29, was walking on Ross Street towards Wythe Avenue on Sept. 1 just before 6 a.m. when a man approached her from behind, poked her with a knife and threatened to stab her if she screamed, police said.

He entered a front door code on a building on Ross Street and forced the woman inside an elevator, police said.

He punched the 13th floor, but the woman struggled and managed to get out on the 11th floor, police said.

The man took the woman's purse, which contained $200 in cash, an Android phone, keys and a gym card worth a total of $460, police said.

He fled down the stairs, police said.

No one has been arrested for the incident.
