Woman Flung From Motorcycle in Fatal Hit-and-Run, Police Say

By Aidan Gardiner | September 8, 2015 8:35am

QUEENS — A passenger was flung from the back of a motorcycle and hit by two minivans, one of which fled the scene, Monday night in Ozone Park, police said.

Sade Eversley, 22, was riding west along the Belt Parkway on the back of a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle driven by a 28-year-old man about 10:30 p.m. when he reached Exit 17 and lost control, hitting a median which threw both of them into the left lane, NYPD officials said.

Eversley, of Crown Heights, was hit by a white minivan that tried to swerve. That vehicle then fled the scene, police said.

Another minivan, a Honda, tried to stop short but ran over Eversley with its right tire, police said. That vehicle remained on the scene, police said.

Eversley was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The motorcycle's driver, whose name was not immediately released, was treated at Jamaica Hospital for minor injuries, police said.
