QUEENS — A new condo under construction near popular Rufus King Park will bring 23 apartment units to downtown Jamaica, the developer said.

The 9-story building, at 89-14 150th St., will include nine three-bedroom apartments. The remaining units will consist of two-bedrooms, according to Hasan Ullah of Kingston Property.

The condo is scheduled to be completed in about two years, Ullah said.

According to documents available on the Department of Buildings website, the building will include a “community facility” in the basement and a parking garage for four cars.

The project is one of a growing number of developments popping up around the neighborhood in recent months. Several hotels are currently planned for downtown Jamaica.

The former site of Mary Immaculate Hospital, also near Rufus King Park, could soon be transformed into luxury apartment buildings

Several hundred market-rate housing units are also slated to replace an unused 7-story parking garage on the corner of Archer Avenue and Guy Brewer Boulevard and BRP Companies is set to build a 580-unit complex next to the AirTrain station.
