LOWER EAST SIDE — A robber stole cash after sneaking up behind a woman and covering her face with a black cloth, police said.

The thief then went through the 20-year-old's front pockets, where he found $30 worth of cash and an iPhone which he dropped while attempting to take it, police said.

The robbery took place in front of 208 Delancey St. at 1 a.m. on Aug. 26, according to the NYPD. The victim refused medical attention when officers arrived on the scene, police said.
