CHELSEA — Moving can be stressful.

A 26-year-old lashed out at a flakey friend who had reneged on a promise to help him with a move, slapping the would-be helper in the face and shattering his cellphone, police said.

The suspect who was changing addresses started yelling, then cuffed his friend across the face when his buddy broke the bad news just after midnight Aug. 30 in front of 312 W. 23rd St., police said.

In the melee, the friend, who is also 26, dropped his phone. The aggressor picked it up and hurled it to the ground again, shattering its screen, police said.

The suspect then fled west on 23rd Street and still had not been apprehended as of Thursday afternoon, police said.

His name was not immediately released.
