LOWER MANHATTAN — A man wanted for rape, murder and robbery in North Carolina was arrested by NYPD officers Tuesday, after the fugitive stole a woman's car in TriBeCa, police said.

Kendrick Gregory, 21, fled North Carolina after an alleged day-long crime spree in Raleigh Monday — fatally shooting one man during a robbery, wounding another and raping a 15-year-old girl, officials said.

Police from Manhattan's 1st Precinct caught Gregory after he stole a woman's car in TriBeCa Tuesday, without knowing his violent history, authorities said.

The 55-year-old woman called police after a man drove off with her Honda Pilot, which she'd left running with her keys in the ignition, on the corner of Warren Street and Broadway at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Using a phone app to track the car's GPS system, police quickly found Gregory was riding over the Brooklyn Bridge. They were able to stop and arrest him in Brooklyn, on Smith Street between Dean and Pacific streets, police said.

During the arrest, Gregory was found with two loaded weapons — a Springfield Armory XDS .45-caliber handgun in his pants pocket, and the same gun hidden underneath the driver's seat, police said.

The New York arrest puts an end to the manhunt in North Carolina, where Raleigh residents were asked to stay indoors as officers searched for Gregory, local paper The News & Observer reported.

Gregory allegedly shot a man during a robbery at a hotel in Raleigh at about 9 a.m. on Aug. 31, then, several hours later, he allegedly shot and killed the owner of a pawn shop. Later that night, he also allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl.

Gregory was charged with grand larceny and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, for his New York crimes, police said.

It was not immediately clear when he would be sent back to North Carolina.
