THE BRONX — A man who knocked a woman to the ground while reversing his car in Mott Haven stopped and got out of his vehicle, before calmly driving away, police said.

The driver, who can be seen in dramatic video released by police, backs his gray Honda sedan into the 51-year-old woman outside 525 Jackson Ave., near East 149th Street, about 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 19, NYPD officials said.

The woman, who was crossing midblock, was knocked to the ground, police said.

She was treated an area hospital for scrapes to her knee and elbow and later released, an NYPD spokesman said.

The driver, who wore a white tank top and brown shorts with white sneakers, got out of his car, walked over to the woman and made a phone call before hopping back into the car and driving away, video shows.

He had not been arrested as of Tuesday morning, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
