Police Charge Brooklyn Man With Murder in Nostrand Houses Shooting

BROOKLYN — Police charged a man with murder in the shooting death of Darnell Warren in Sheepshead Bay on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

Ramon Cooper, 17, shot Warren, 36, in the back in front of a Nostrand Houses building at 2356 Bragg St. on Aug. 16, police said.

Warren, who lived in the Nostrand Houses, was taken to Coney Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police charged Cooper, who lives on Nostrand Avenue near Avenue P, with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
