SOHO — A $7,500 Tiffany engagement ring, a $3,000 necklace that was a family heirloom and a $2,500 Longines watch were among the more than $18,000 worth of personal items stolen from inside a woman's SoHo apartment last week, police said.

The burglar entered the Prince Street apartment from the fire escape, through an unlocked window, at some time between 8:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 21, police said, while the residents were out.

When the 38-year-old victim returned home, she found her apartment ransacked with her jewelry gone, along with her $2,500 Mac Book, according to a police report.

Police were still investigating the burglary.
