SOUTH STREET SEAPORT — A man was attacked by two robbers who stole his iPhone, cash and sneakers as he walked along Peck Slip last week, police said.

The 23-year-old Staten Island man was heading towards Front Street at about 3:30 a.m. when a man began yelling "Hey, hey!" at him, police said. As the victim was distracted, another man grabbed him from behind, and the man who had called out earlier began punching the victim in the face, police said.

The victim was then forced to give up about $500 in cash, his iPhone, a chain he wore around his neck and his Jordan sneakers, police said.

Police were still investigating the incident.
