EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A local man who let a friend sleep over at his home over the weekend woke up to find more than $1,800 worth of property gone, police said.

The victim, 25, said he let the man spend the night at his home on Morgan Avenue near Ingraham Street on Saturday roughly 4:30 a.m., police said.

When the victim woke up, he realized that the man had left and that several electronics were missing, police said.

The missing items included a Big Jambox speaker worth about $300, an Apple MacBook worth about $1,500, a black laptop case worth $75 and some Adobe software, police said.

There have been no arrests and police are investigating the incident.
