MANHATTAN — An over height truck got stuck in the center lane of the northbound tube of the Lincoln Tunnel on Monday afternoon, officials said.
The tractor trailer got lodged in the tunnel's steel ceiling at 2:19 p.m. Monday, according to Port Authority officials. Port Authority Police and operations personnel cooperated in removing the truck, which took about an hour, officials said.
New Jersey-bound drivers can expect delays during the Monday evening commute and should find alternative routes, NYC Emergency Management said in a tweet.
Due to an over-height truck, expect traffic delays in the NJ-bound Lincoln Tunnel, MN. Consider alternate routes & allow additional time.
