Man Killed by 6 Train on Upper East Side, FDNY Says

UPPER EAST SIDE — An on-duty station cleaner was killed after he jumped in front of a 6 train at 59th Street and Lexington Avenue Friday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

EMS received a 911 call about the incident just before 3p.m., a spokesman said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Normal train service to the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 trains resumed at 4:05 p.m.
