By Aidan Gardiner | August 17, 2015 9:07am

BROOKLYN — A driver was taken into custody after striking and critically injuring a pedestrian in Williamsburg Monday morning, police said.

Shana Jarvis, 31, hit the 32-year-old man who was crossing over Grand Street at Union Avenue at 12:16 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

Investigators don't believe the pedestrian had the light, police said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, an FDNY spokesman said. His condition was later upgraded to stable, police said.

Jarvis, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, remained on the scene, police said.

She was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent, refusing to take a breathalyzer test, driving while intoxicated and violating a local law, police said.
