UPPER WEST SIDE — Zabar's, the American Museum of Natural History, Levain Bakery and the Town Shop are just a few neighborhood institutions most residents will agree fall squarely within the bounds of the Upper West Side.

West 59th Street, which lines up with the edge of Central Park, is also commonly held as the southernmost cutoff for the neighborhood.

But when it comes to the neighborhood's northern borders, there is substantial disagreement. Residents have different opinions about where the Upper West Side ends and Morningside Heights begins, and what constitutes "Manhattan Valley" or "Bloomingdale," a name that emerged for the area between West 96th and 110th streets.

DNAinfo is helping settle these questions by letting residents draw their own borders on an interactive neighborhood map.

Locals are already weighing in:

Others want to capture not only Riverside Park, but steal Central Park from our neighbors to the east as well:

Have your say about the official borders of the Upper West Side by clicking on the map below.

When DNAinfo has enough map submissions, we'll share the results of everyone's drawings.
