STATEN ISLAND — A man broke into a Staten Island home and raped a 7-year-old girl in her bedroom, police said.
The man, identified as Daniel Nieto, 32, broke into the home through the backdoor on Aug. 6 at about 2:45 a.m., police said. Nieto entered the bedroom of the girl, sexually assaulted her then fled the house, police said.
He's described as 5-foot-2 and about 125 pounds with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black vest jacket, brown pants and brown shoes.
Nieto was previously arrested for possession of marijuana, police said.
