BROOKLYN — A Bushwick man was stabbed to death during a dispute over the weekend, the NYPD said.
Michael Godoy, 23, was stabbed in the chest Sunday just after 3 a.m. in the basement of a building near Weirfield Street and Knickerbocker Ave., police said.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. It's unclear what sparked the dispute, but the incident reportedly occurred during a party.
Many of Godoy's friends took to social media over the weekend to remember him.
"It's so many dudes out here doing dirt and [he] really wasn't one of them," one woman said.

Woke up with a heavy heart. Just got news that someone I grew up with has passed away. I HATE hearing this kind of stuff. This just goes to show that as much as the love is real so is the hate. We are too young and have too much potential in life to let bullshit get in the way!! My darling Mikey, although I've probably seen your mom more than your handsome face, you were her light. And at one point in life, you were my friend. May you Rest In Peace. ❤️ #ForeverRICO
No one has been arrested, and police are investigating the incident.
