QUEENS — A man was struck and injured by a Flushing-bound 7 train in Woodside on Friday morning, officials said.
The man was leaning over the edge of the platform at the Woodside 7 train station at Roosevelt Avenue and 61st Street when the arriving train struck him at about 8:28 a.m., the MTA said.
The victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital in serious but stable condition and his injuries do not appear to be life threatening, a spokesman for the FDNY said.
The incident suspended express train service and caused delays during the morning, but service returned to normal at 9:48 a.m.
