UPPER EAST SIDE  — Music icons Billy Joel and Don Henley will appear together at the 92nd Street Y this September to talk about their lives, careers and friendship.

Joel will moderate the Sept. 20 event, titled "A Conversation with Don Henley," on the eve of Henley's first solo album in 15 years, "Cass County," which will be released Sept. 25.

Henley, who was the drummer and co-lead singer The Eagles has released four solo albums and two compilation albums since the band first broke up in 1980, and created hits like "The Boys of Summer," "New York Minute" and "All She Wants to Do is Dance."

His first solo album, "I Can't Stand Still," debuted in 1982.

Singer-songwriter Billy Joel, who is the sixth top-selling artist in the country, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, has been a longtime friend of Henley's, according to the 92nd Y.

Tickets, which start at $85 per person, went on sale Thursday at noon and can be purchased on the 92nd Street Y's website.
