WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — The owner of a high-end Upper East Side pharmacy that offers concierge services for $2,500 a month is opening a no-frills outpost in Washington Heights.

Mazen Karnaby, owner of Cedra Pharmacy on Second Avenue near 64th Street, will open a storefront at the corner of Broadway and 161st Street called Karnaby Drugs, documents show. A Cedra employee confirmed the news and said the store will open sometime this fall.

Unlike its Upper East Side counterpart, Karnaby Drugs will not offer concierge packages, which include options such as at-home medication reviews with a pharmacist, limo rides to doctors appointments and custom massages, the employee said.

The Washington Heights location will be more similar to Cedra’s storefront in The Bronx, which carries some specialized medications, including those for HIV and hepatitis C, the employee said

Karnaby Drugs will also offer delivery service.

Karnbay’s other locations, which include some in Brooklyn under the name Regency Drugs, also carry high-end personal care brands such as Ahava, whose moisturizer costs around $40, and Mason Pearson, whose full-size hairbrush retails for more than $150, according to the chain's websites.

The employee was not sure if the Washington Heights store would carry a similar product selection.

When the new outpost opens, it will compete with two other pharmacies within a very short distance.

St. Anthony Pharmacy sits catty-corner from Karnaby Drugs, while JMC Pharmacy Inc. sits less than a block north on Broadway.

Karnaby could not be reached for comment.
