LOWER MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a group of teens who went on a robbing spree last week, assaulting two men — one in Lower Manhattan and one in Downtown Brooklyn — on the same night.
On Aug. 5, the five teens first attacked a 41-year-old man near 33 Gold St. as he was walking to work at about 4:45 a.m., police said.
The young men, believed to be between 16 and 18 years old, surrounded the man, assaulted him and took his money and cellphone, before running onto a nearby subway, police said.
About an hour later, at 5:40 a.m., the same group attacked a 32-year-old man in the Borough Hall subway station, making off with the his cellphone and wallet.
Both victims did not request medical attention, police said.
