MANHATTAN — It's already mid-August and for some New Yorkers it may feel as if the summer is slipping away.

Before it's too late, take advantage of the last two weeks of free outdoor movies happening along the Hudson River waterfront in Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen and Greenwich Village.

Richard Linklater's widely acclaimed movie "Boyhood", filmed over 12 years as its title character aged, is playing 8:30 p.m. on Pier 63 in Chelsea, on Wednesday.

The sentimental animated Disney sci-fi flick "Wall-E" is playing Thursday evening at sundown on the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Kids will enjoy "Paddington," the classic tale of a stuffed bear searching for home. That will play at 8:30 p.m. on Pier 46 in Greenwich Village.

Next week:

"Interstellar," the post-apocalyptic thriller staring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway is playing 8:30 p.m. on Wed. Aug. 19 on Pier 63 in Chelsea, on Wednesday.

The classic Tom Hanks space flick "Apollo 13" will play at dusk on the deck of the Intrepid on Thursday August 20.

And finally the timeless family favorite "Hook," in which Robin Williams doubles as Peter Pan is playing on Friday, August 21 at 8:30 p.m. on Pier 46 in Greenwich Village.

Take advantage of those warm nights while they last.
