QUEENS — A baby was found dead early Friday after falling out of the fourth-floor window of a Richmond Hill apartment building, police sources said
Rizwan Ahmad, who was born on July 18, was found in the courtyard of 85-55 155 St. at 4:06 a.m., the NYPD said.
EMS responded and pronounced Rizwan dead at the scene, police said.
"I saw blood everywhere," said Mazol Liyava, who found the infant and called 911. "It was horrible.
"I heard a thump and thought maybe somebody threw a book or something else. It never crossed my mind that it was a baby.”
The boy's 40-year-old father and 21-year-old mother were taken into custody for questioning, the source said. Four other children — including two of Rizwan's siblings — were inside the apartment at the time.
Police have not made any arrests and an investigation is ongoing. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
