LOWER EAST SIDE — A homeless man has been arrested for punching a woman and fracturing her jaw after making anti-Muslim comments, police said.

Zin McDade, 29, was charged with felony assault, felony assault as a hate crime, aggravated harassment as a hate crime, assault and harassment, according to the NYPD.

Police said McDade punched the 19-year-old victim on July 11 after hearing her speaking in a foreign language in front of 109 East Broadway near Pike Street at about 8:40 p.m. McDade accused the woman of speaking negatively about him and they got into an argument where he made anti-Muslim comments, according to an NYPD spokesman.

He then spit in her face, punched her and fled up Eldridge Street, where security cameras caught him on video, police said.

The woman was taken to Beth Israel Medical Center for her fractured jaw.
