DITMARS — A man who thought he was buying a motorcycle from a man in Queens ended up getting robbed at gunpoint by the phony chopper salesman, according to the NYPD.

The 45-year-old victim met with the man on June 17 in order to buy a motorcycle from him, police said.

The suspect then entered the victim's car and instructed him to drive to an address on 35th Street near 21st Avenue in Astoria.

When the pair arrived at their destination, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim's head, demanded his money and fled with $2,500, according to police.

The thief was seen on surveillance video wearing shorts, a baseball cap and a dark T-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
