
GREENPOINT — A man was beaten with a tree branch on a Greenpoint street last week, police said.
The man, 30, was walking near Norman Avenue and Monitor Street on Saturday, Aug. 1 around 7:45 p.m. when two men approached him, police said.
One man, about 25 years old, hit the victim with a tree branch and then punched and kicked him in the face, head and back, police said. The other man also kicked him several times, causing injuries to the victim's face, head, knee and back, police said.
They then fled in a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu car. It was unclear why the victim was targeted.
No one has been arrested for the incident.
