EAST HARLEM — A man allegedly spit at and punched a police officer after being arrested for drinking Mike’s Hard Lemonade in public.

Kenneth McRae, 21, was drinking the alcoholic beverage near 2120 Madison Ave. in the Lincoln Houses about 2:25 a.m. Sunday, according to the NYPD.

When officers approached him, McRae refused to listen to them and became combative, police said.

At the station house, McRae continued to confront the police. He spit on several officers and punched one in the eye, according to the police.

He was charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, and harassment. He was held on Rikers Island on $500 bond. His next court date is on Aug. 7, records show.

McRae's lawyer did not immediately respond to questions about the case.
