LONG ISLAND CITY — Jeckles is a big cat with a big personality.

The fluffy-tailed, orange Maine Coon breed weighs about 13 pounds and loves human affection, according to Gina Lori of the Queens rescue group LIC Ferals and Friends, which is fostering Jeckles.

"He will follow you around wherever you go, he has big beautiful paws and a gorgeous expressive face," Lori said in an email, where she described the 10-month old cat as "a purring machine."

"This kitty is a real extrovert and a show stopper," she said.

Jeckles was born a feral kitten before he was rescued by a shop owner, Lori said. He was given to another home after that, but was ultimately given up by his new owners several months later.

Now he's looking for a permanent family that has time to give him the love and petting he deserves.

"He needs a home with an owner who can give him all the attention he needs," Lori said.

Jeckles gets along well with other cats and friendly dogs, is neutered and has had his rabies shot.
