BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Elevate your yoga skills at a new Marcus Garvey Boulevard studio offering aerial classes.

Yogis can hang from hammocks, building strength and flexibility at the sessions located at the Locale Village Shop & Yoga in Bed-Stuy.

The boutique opened at 410 Marcus Garvey Blvd. in May and expanded with an additional back room for fitness on July 21, according to owner Sandi Preston.

“We saw an opportunity for what we could be doing to offer the community environment that we set out to create from the beginning,” Preston said.

“There’s the boutique supporting micro-entrepreneurs, and then we have the balance of holistic health for a community ecosystem.”

Aerial yoga will help students dive deeper into their inversions and face their fears, Preston added.

The colorful studio offers space for up to six students for one-on-one, personal instruction. Aerial classes accommodate a maximum of four people.

Locale also launched a “Candlelight Vinyasa Wine-Down,” where participants can stretch out and relax, then follow up the lesson with a complimentary glass of wine.

Other classes include a “Fight Club Fitness” class, taught by co-owner Donald Edwards. The course focuses on mixed martial arts and “finding peace, self-awareness and positivity,” according to Preston.

Classes start at a discounted rate of $7 for beginners. For more details on sessions and schedules, visit the Locale website.
