WILLIAMSBURG — Tickets are now on sale for an annual food festival celebrating some of North Brooklyn's best local eateries.
TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint, which is now in its sixth year, will take place on Sunday, Sept. 13 at East River State Park and will have food and drink from more than 50 bars, restaurants, breweries and wineries.
Tickets start at $35 and include a set number of tastings and drinks.
All the proceeds will go to benefit Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center, a planned venue in a former firehouse at 134 Wythe Ave. that will be used for dance, performance art, theater and offices for nonprofits.
Renovations of the cultural center cost about $2.6 million, and the organization has raised slightly more than $1.6 million so far.
