SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — Several students from local schools punched, kicked and robbed a 14-year-old boy in South Williamsburg last week, police said.

The victim told police he was leaving I.S. 71 at 215 Heyward St. on Thursday, July 16 at roughly 1 p.m. when several suspects approached him from behind, officials said.

One man in the group punched the teen in the head and knocked him to the ground and then several others punched and kicked him, causing injuries to the teen's face and head, police said

During the attack, the suspects said "gang, gang, gang" and "don't f--k with Bushwick," police said.

One suspect then snatched more than $600 worth of property from the victim, including two Samsung phones and a pair of headphones, police said.

The attackers attended local schools I.S. 318, Lyons Community School and I.S. 71, police said.

Police are investigating the incident.
