QUEENSBRIDGE — Police are looking for a man who slashed a 19-year-old woman in the ankle with a knife during a dispute in Long Island City earlier this month.

The suspect and the victim, who know each other, got into an argument on July 7 at an apartment building in the Queensbridge Houses shortly after 8 p.m. when the man pulled out a knife and slashed the woman in the ankle, according to the NYPD.

The man fled and the victim was taken to Mount Sinai Queens Hospital where she was treated for her injury and released, police said.

The suspect is described as 20-years-old, 6-feet-tall and 230 pounds, with brown eyes and long brown hair that he wears in a ponytail. He has a scar on his right cheek and  a tattoo on his left forearm that says "Brooklyn" and another on his right forearm of a cross and the word "Karlene."
