91-Year-Old Man Assaulted on Upper East Side, Police Say

UPPER EAST SIDE — The NYPD is searching for a man who pushed a 91-year-old man to the ground on East 86th Street and then fled in a cab.

The victim was walking down the street across from 355 E. 86th St. near First Avenue, when a man approached and shoved him just before 7 a.m. on June 30, police said.

The suspect then fled to East 85th Street and First Avenue, where he hopped into a cab, according to police.

The victim was taken to the New York Presbyterian Hospital with a broken right arm and a cut to his forehead. He was released from the hospital soon after.

Police described the suspect as a man standing about 5-foot-9, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair, wearing a red shirt, jeans and white sneakers
