MANHATTAN — A 22-year-old bicycle enthusiast was fatally shot in the chest and arm in the East River Houses Monday night, police said.

Lockett Creston, who lived in the complex, was found shot outside 405 E. 105th St., near First Avenue, about 11:33 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

Creston was pronounced dead at Metropolitan Hospital, police said.

There were no immediate arrests.

Investigators were still trying to figure out the circumstances of the shooting, an NYPD spokesman said.

Friends said Creston liked riding bicycles and would travel to go to biking meets.

"He was a good guy. He worked and was independent. He liked to ride bikes," said Jordan Rodriguez, 21.

"I knew him my whole life. He was always a good dude, made an honest living. He was really caring and generous," said Kevin Wilson, also 21.
