EAST HARLEM — A man was charged with grand larceny after donating more than $5,000 of his roommate's designer clothes to Goodwill, authorities said.

Kenneth Butler, 30, took two Calvin Klein suits worth $750, two blue fur winter coats worth $1,000, a $350 Louis Vuitton belt, and a $500 necklace, according to the NYPD.

When he was arrested Thursday, Butler reportedly told police that he took the items and donated them to the Goodwill store, according to the criminal complaint.

Butler was renting his living room to a 35-year-old man, the apparent victim, who kept all of his possessions there and realized some items were missing in the beginning of July, police said.

Butler was charged with grand larceny and is due in court Oct. 7, records show.

His attorney did not immediately reply to an inquiry about the case.
