BUSHWICK — The owner of bars like Old Stanley's and The Narrows is planning to open another spot in the former Norbert's Pizza space — with two pinball machines, shuffleboard and a "community" feel, he said.

Matt Webber, who owns five bars and restaurants in Williamsburg and Bushwick, plans to open a "community friendly" bar at the 1215 Myrtle Ave. storefront, he told Community Board 4's liquor license committee this week.

It will be a lot like his bar Old Stanley's, a Bushwick dive bar eat 226 Wyckoff Ave.

"It will basically be regulars, people from the neighborhood, community friendly," Webber said. "We've done everything in our power to be good to our neighbors. This is the same style."

The yet-unnamed bar will have 38 seats and be open from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. every day except Sundays, when it will do last call just before midnight, Webber said.

It will also have two pinball machines, shuffleboard and a little backyard to grill food like burgers, he said.

Webber has ownership of Old Stanley's, The Narrows, Soft Spot, Kilo Bravo and King Noodle.

Norbert's Pizza closed earlier this year, reportedly due to a landlord change. The spot known for its vegetarian and vegan pizza still has an express window at 4 Stuyvesant Ave. in Bed-Stuy.

The four-story building at 1215 Myrtle Ave. was sold in June last year for $2.45 million, according to Department of Finance records.

Webber said that he's about two months away from opening the bar.

With coffee shop Little Skips just across the street, Webber hopes the area will become more of a community destination.

"It’s our intent, anyway, to light up that street a little better," Webber said.

Community Board 4 will vote on the liquor license later this month.
