UPPER WEST SIDE — Three men have been charged with the murder of a 26-year-old man while he was working at his father's Upper West Side shop last month, police said.

Brothers Michael Adams, 29, and Steven Adams, 27, as well as Zubearu Bettis, 44, were arrested and charged with second degree murder in the death of Bubacarr Camera, police said.

Police said the men shot Camera in the back of the head during a robbery of his father's T-shirt store BNC General Merchandise at 906 Amsterdam Ave. on June 19 at about 12:30 p.m.

Camera was found on the floor in the store about an hour and a half later, police said. He was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

It wasn't clear if the three men had been arraigned yet. Information about their lawyers was not available.

"It's good news," his brother, Ibrahima Camara, 23, told DNAinfo about the arrests. "I'm happy."

Bubacarr Camera, who lived in The Bronx with his family, immigrated from Gambia seven months ago to help out in his father's business and earn money to support his wife and 1-year-old son back in Gambia, his brother added.

Steven Adams and Bettis are also charged with robbing a shop in Central Harlem three days before the murder, according to Capt. Marlon Larin, commanding officer of the 24th Precinct.

The two men entered an African shop at West 133rd Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard at 12:30 a.m., demanded money and fired a shot before leaving, police said.

No one was injured in the robbery, according to police.
