UPPER EAST SIDE — A rubbish fire broke out on the third floor of the prestigious Chapin School on Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.

A call for help came at 2:15 p.m., fire officials said. The blaze was minimal and contained by 2:50 p.m. and no one was injured, the FDNY said.

People in the 100 East End Ave. building at the time were forced to evacuate, witnesses said, but were allowed to re-enter shortly after.

Employees leaving the school would not comment on the incident. A spokesperson for the Chapin School could not be reached for immediate comment.
