UPPER EAST SIDE — Community Board 8 is taking its next full board meeting to the great outdoors for the first time to enjoy the summer weather, the chairman said Tuesday.

"This meeting will highlight the park, the community of Roosevelt Island and Manhattan Community Board 8. It's the ultimate outdoor town hall," CB8 head James G Clynes said of the July 15 gathering.

The board is holding a full meeting of all committees with reports from elected officials, the district manager, the chairman and the Manhattan borough president.

The board asks that people arrive early because it takes roughly 15 minutes from the F train or tram to get to the park. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on the green and must end at 8:30 p.m.

Those who are disabled and need help getting there can reserve a seat on a golf cart by Monday, July 13.

In case of rain, the meeting will be moved to the Manhattan Park Theatre Club at 30 River Road on Roosevelt Island.

For more information or to reserve a seat on a golf cart, call 212-758-4340 or email info@cb8m.com.
