WILLIAMSBURG — A man was kicked and punched while being robbed of $1,500 bicycle in South Williamsburg last week, police said.

The victim, 32, said he was riding his bike from Rego Park in Queens toward Division Avenue near Berry Street with some other men on Tuesday, June 23, at about 5 p.m., police said.

He then stopped to find a bathroom and and left his Orange brand mountain bike unattended, police said.

He returned to find his bicycle gone. When he asked one of the other cyclists about the bike, another man punched him in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground, police said.

The attacker then kicked and punched him again, injuring his face and both arms.

The suspect also took the victim's $100 Armani shoulder bag, a $50 cotton shirt and $50 cash before fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

No one has been arrested.
