BED-STUY — Police have identified a suspected gunman who fatally shot a cab driver on Decatur Street early Monday in a botched robbery.

Police believe Unique Gray, 23, shot and killed Naji Fawaz, 35, inside Fawaz’s cab on Patchen Avenue about 12:20 a.m., the NYPD said.

Gray, of East New York, is a known gang member and has 15 prior arrests, police said.

“We’re looking at him for a total of three cab robberies right now,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said.

“He’s identified in this one and he’s identified in another one just blocks away two days earlier.”

Boyce said Gray was out on parole for another robbery.

“He’s an ultra-violent individual,” he said. “He is a robbery recidivist and also a gun recidivist as well.”

Police have also identified a person of interest believed to have been with Gray at the time, Boyce said. They have not released his name.
