HARLEM — A bar brawl at Harlem Tavern Saturday night left one person in the hospital and three others in handcuffs, police said.

The melee started about 11 p.m. when a large group of people started tossing drinking glasses inside the restaurant on 116th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, according to police and witnesses.

“My friends and I had just come from celebrating my birthday at Lolo’s and were inside before we heard a bouncer from the front run past us yelling about calling 911,” said Ashley Emerole. “Suddenly we were pushed out by a crowd running and screaming for the door.”

Roughly 10 people were fighting, she added.

The people fighting had just finished hosting a party at Morningside Park and went to Harlem Tavern when it started raining on Saturday, according to a manager.

"It was pretty quickly controlled and our security escorted the people out," the manager added.

When police arrived some of the men ran south along Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Officers from the 28th Precinct chased them down and arrested them.

One victim had cuts on his head, police said. He was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital in stable condition, according to the NYPD.

Kamarr Holligan, Herbert Miller, and Tyquan Jordan, all 25, were charged with assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The men could not be reached for comment.
