MANHATTAN — A passenger in a car suspected of running a series of red lights in Washington Heights was killed early Monday in a collision with another vehicle, police said.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was riding in a car that was running red lights as it headed south on Amsterdam Avenue until reaching West 157th Street, where it was struck by another vehicle about 4:50 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.
The passenger was pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said.
No other injuries were reported and there were no immediate arrests, police said.
