GREENPOINT — Pure Barre, a fitness chain known for low-impact workouts done while holding onto a ballet barre, opened in Greenpoint last week.

The Greenpoint studio at 225 Franklin St. is the chain's fourth outpost in Brooklyn, with other locations in Williamsburg, Park Slope and Cobble Hill.

The nearly hourlong, full-body workouts are intended to exercise "the areas women struggle with the most: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms," according to Pure Barre's website.

Despite the use of the ballet barre in the class, attendees do not need any prior dance experience.

New clients can buy one month of unlimited classes for $150 at the Greenpoint location, which announced its opening on Facebook

Regularly, one month of unlimited classes costs $295. Individual classes cost $33.

Locals can book classes online.
