WILLIAMSBURG — A man who went to a Williamsburg hotel with a woman after they met at a bar woke up to find his $11,000 watch missing, police said.
The 35-year-old man met the woman in a bar and then took her back to the Hotel Jolie, at 235 Meeker Ave., around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, police said.
Once they went inside the room, the man had a drink and passed out, police said.
When he woke up around noon, the woman was gone, as was his $11,000 Ulysse Nardin watch, police said.
It's unclear if the man was drugged, police said.
Police are seeking a woman in her early thirties who is about 230 pounds with black curly hair.
An employee at Hotel Jolie had no comment.
The incident comes on the heels of the NYPD warning New Yorkers to beware seasonal grifters who go back to victims' hotels with them, drug them and steal their expensive watches.
