MIDTOWN WEST — The far West Side's tall, shiny future is imminent.

Real estate developer Brookfield released new renderings of their towering West Side development Thursday. Corporate law firm Skadden, Arps will move into one of Manhattan West's two office towers. The $4.5 billion project will also include a 62-story residential tower.

The 7-million-square-foot development hovers over train tunnels to Penn Station between West 33rd and West 31st streets and Ninth Avenue and 10th avenues.

Twenty percent of the residential building's 844 units will be designated as affordable housing. The project is scheduled for completion in 2018.
