WOODSIDE — A man had his cellphone snatched out of his hands last week by a shirtless thief who rode by on a bicycle, according to the NYPD.

The 48-year-old victim was walking on 52nd Street between Roosevelt and Skillman avenues just after 11 p.m. on June 17 when the cyclist approached from behind and grabbed his Samsung Galaxy Note, police said.

The suspect was a man wearing no shirt and riding a dark-colored bicycle, according to police. Video footage shows him riding his bike on the sidewalk

The 108th Precinct is also searching for another suspect who pushed a woman to the ground and stole her pocketbook in May.

The suspect — a man in his early 30s who goes by the name Eladio — ran up to the 24-year-old victim as she was leaving Astoria Federal Savings Bank at 60-20 Woodside Ave. on May 26, shoved her to the ground and took off with her bag.

Eladio is described as being 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds, according to police.

Anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
