MANHATTAN — A 67-year-old woman died Saturday, five days after she was struck by a Mercedes-Benz van on the Upper East Side, police said.
Diana Ealkamenetz was crossing at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 61st Street about 2:13 p.m. when the northbound van struck her June 15, NYPD officials said.
Ealkamenetz, of Plainview, N.Y., suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at New York-Presbyterian hospital on Saturday, police said.
The driver remained on the scene and there were no immediate arrests, police said.
